My Story My name is Gabriel-Bello Díaz, and I am a Puerto Rican artist living and working in Seattle. Over the past year, I have been in recovery from cancer-related surgery and the ongoing treatments that followed. While my health has improved in many ways, I am still facing serious medical challenges, most recently, recurring blood clots related to my earlier surgeries. These complications have required additional care, procedures, and medications, many of which are not fully covered by my insurance. Why I Need Support I’ve done my best to carry this journey on my own for months, balancing the financial weight of hospital visits, prescriptions, and accumulated debt alongside the emotional and physical work of healing. But as I move into the next stage of treatment, it has become clear that I cannot do this alone. I have more procedures coming up, and the financial strain has become overwhelming. Your contributions will help me cover: Urgent medical costs and hospital bills not covered by insurance Prescriptions and ongoing treatment services Paying down accumulated debt from past procedures Creating space and time to rest, recover, and heal fully without the added stress of financial insecurity Community & Healing I am deeply grateful for the love and encouragement of my family and friends who have stood by me through this process.
